VPPPA is seeking a creative, detail-oriented candidate for the position of Education Program Coordinator. This position will provide support and assistance with the development, delivery, and evaluation of VPPPA’s educational programs, including existing offerings as well as new initiatives. In addition, this position will provide customer assistance with registration and serve as onsite registrar for national and regional events. This position will report directly to the Director of Professional Development and will work closely with them to grow and develop learning pathways that provide VPPPA Members and learners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to advance safety and health excellence in their workplace. 

The ideal candidate will be a passionate lifelong learner with strong organizational skills, experience with adult learning principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow staff and volunteer leaders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Registration: Assist with creation of online registration pages, and serve as onsite registrar for regional and national events.
2. Conferences and Events: Coordinate collection of speaker contracts and materials, and assist with post-event evaluations.
3. Webinar Administration: Collect speaker and presentation details, and moderate live presentations.
4. Program Development: Assist with needs analyses for new and existing offerings, coordinate with director and volunteers to design, develop, and implement new programs.
5. Customer Service: Provide prompt support to members and event attendees to address questions or troubleshoot errors.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Education: BA or BS in education, instructional design or relevant field, preferred.
2. Experience: 0-3 years experience in associations, adult training or education, event planning, safety & health, or other industry.
3. Travel: willingness to travel up to 30% to support national and regional events.
