The National Community Pharmacists Association (close to King Street Metro) is seeking experienced candidates for a Manager, Meetings & Convention position. NCPA fosters a dynamic and empowering work environment. The candidate will assist the Director, Meetings and Convention in the planning and execution of association wide meetings and events. They will coordinate logistics for venues and vendors, support budget preparations, assist in cross-departmental reconcilements, assist with scheduling and timeline management, while communicating with internal teams and assisting in the management of on-site event operations.
The candidate should possess 2-4 years of progressive experience in meeting/event planning, strong organizational and multitasking skills, have an innovative approach, excellent communication and teamwork abilities along with proficiency in Microsoft office, Airtable, Asana, social tables/diagram or similar tools. The candidate should be a proactive, problem solver with experience in large-scale events/conferences. Management of event portfolios of up to 10 events per year is a plus for this position. Position will require travel domestically to meeting venues.
We offer a hybrid working schedule; during Memorial Day to Labor Day; in office work Tuesday/Thursday, remote work Monday/Wednesday/Friday. During Labor Day to Memorial Day, in office work Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, remote work Monday/Friday. Salary commensurate with experience.
