This Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and support within the Office of Curricular, Pedagogical, and Digital Innovation (OCPDI). Reporting to and supervised by the Director of Digital Education Programs, this role serves as a key support person for OCPDI’s many digital initiatives. This position assists with building online events, registration tracking, event communication, project management, document creation, and calendar management. The Administrative Assistant collaborates closely with internal departments at AAC&U—including Membership, Advancement, and Communication—as well as with key external stakeholders to advance digital initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, familiar with multiple technologies, a creative problem solver, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for the Vice President, Assistant Vice President, and Director within the Office of Curricular, Pedagogical, and Digital Innovation who focus on digital innovation initiatives.
Assist in running virtual and in-person institutes, conferences, and webinars
Create key documents relating to digital initiatives, such as onboarding material, contracts, and tracking documents
Assist with completing tasks associated with preparing our online platforms for conferences and institutes
Provide administrative budgetary support, including processing invoices and reconciling expenses
Assist with report and dashboard creation for events within OCPDI
Schedule and coordinate meetings internally and externally as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
2-3 years of work experience is required
Knowledge of the higher education sector
Knowledge of and extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), project management software, internet research, Zoom, and data sharing platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize competing priorities, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Initiative and problem-solving
Able to work independently and without supervision
