This vital role is responsible for securing AGD’s future by attracting and retaining the newest generation of AGD members. Develop and execute AGD’s student, resident, and new dentist membership strategy, including the development and support of AGD student chapters, Residency program relations, engagement, and retention strategies for AGD’s student, resident, and new dentist members, and serve as a subject matter expert to support internal and external stakeholders in their efforts to grow AGD’s early career members. Able to work additional hours and travel as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Credentials (years of experience): Three to five years’ membership or marketing experience. Previous association experience preferred. Have firm understanding of association membership strategy, project management, web-based marketing concepts, social networking development, program coordination and implementation, event planning and document preparation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate authoritatively, effectively, and tactfully with AGD officers, members, suppliers, and staff and present a positive image of AGD through these communications. Possess exceptional PC skills with entire Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency sufficient to utilize membership database, reporting and analysis, the use of the Internet for research and ability and willingness to learn new software and programs as required. Be flexible, adaptable, able to work on a wide variety of tasks independently and in a team structure and understand meaning of confidentiality. Possess the ability to meet deadlines, set priorities, work independently, monitor budgets, and control expenditures, and demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail. Possess good organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, and excellent oral and written communications skills with good spelling, proofreading and grammar skills. Be able to work additional hours and travel as needed.
