The ideal candidate would have experience in professional association management and would be familiar with issues affecting motor fuel wholesale distribution and the convenience store industry or related fields. The position requires the ability to work with staff to stage an annual trade show, help determine legislative policy and coordinate with members, the board of directors, association staff,  lobbyists, the general counsel, and national energy and convenience store associations. The Executive Director is also required  to represent FPMA and its members in state emergency management response actions during hurricanes and other states of emergency.
