Position Summary
The Industry Manager is responsible for managing relationships with corporate partners within the dermatology industry, including pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations. Serving as the primary point of contact, this role ensures the successful execution of sponsorships, exhibits, advertising, and other partnership deliverables that support SDPA’s mission.
This position plays a critical role in supporting non-dues revenue while maintaining alignment with the association’s educational and ethical standards. The Industry Manager collaborates across departments to deliver high-quality partner experiences at conferences, leadership events, and through year-round engagement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Industry Partner Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all corporate partners and industry stakeholders
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with organizations in dermatology and related fields
Ensure partner needs are met while upholding the association’s mission and compliance standards
Manage ongoing communications, including onboarding, updates, and issue resolution
Revenue & Partnership Support
Support revenue-generating initiatives, including:
Corporate partnerships and sponsorship programs
Annual conference and exhibit sales
Leadership summit sponsorships
Advertising and promotional opportunities
Dermcast/webinar opportunities in coordination with production partner
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure partner benefits are clearly defined and delivered
Assist leadership in tracking and supporting partnership pipeline activities
Contracting & Financial Management
Lead the development and execution of contracts and Letters of Agreement (LOAs)
Manage accounts receivable and invoicing, ensuring timely billing and payment collection
Maintain accurate financial and partner records in alignment with nonprofit standards
Deliverables & Program Execution
Oversee and track all sponsorship and partnership deliverables
Tracking deliverables and engagement metrics annually and reporting both quarterly
Coordinate with:
Marketing (for promotions, advertising, and visibility)
Meetings/Education (for conference and event execution)
Ensure all commitments are fulfilled on time and at a high standard
Troubleshoot and resolve any delivery or logistical challenges
Prepare for industry conversations at SDPA summer & fall conferences (industry roundtables), AAD, DEF and other annual touch points, including:
Coordinate the meeting schedule and logistics
Coordinate read-aheads including bios of industry attendees
Work with the marketing team to prepare collateral to support data/metrics related to industry (reported individually for corporate partners, and collectively for all others)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
Membership & Marketing teams to support promotional efforts
Education & Meetings teams for event-related deliverables
Organizational leadership for alignment and oversight
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners
Strategic Contribution
Provide input on industry engagement strategy and partnership offerings
Share insights on dermatology market trends and partner feedback
Support the development of new sponsorship opportunities aligned with member needs

Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4–7 years of experience in nonprofit associations, healthcare, medical education, or industry relations
Experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies preferred
Familiarity with continuing medical education (CME) environments and compliance considerations is a plus
Strong project management and organizational skills
