Detail-oriented individual responsible for performing basic accounting duties, including processing membership dues.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for processing membership dues
Processes daily dues check payments
Reconciles check deposits received
Processes credit card dues payments through CRM software and reconciles with daily deposits
Creates daily cash receipts in accounting system
Responsible for the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparing/entering journal entries related to dues income
Generates check requests for dues amounts owed
Performs calculations for deferred dues
Responsible for filing Campaign Treasurer’s Reports for PAC
Responsible for performing data entry and reconciling bank accounts
Responsible for serving as liaison between accounting and membership departments
Assists with generating dues invoices
Assists with membership check-in calls
Performs collection calls for past due membership dues
Verifies membership and generates insurance reimbursement requests
Responsible for assisting with year-end audits
Responsible for performing administrative duties including but not limited to
Copies, scans and emails documents as needed
Assists in the organization and maintenance of Accounting department files
Assists in answering and directing switchboard calls
Performs other duties as assigned by FDA Director of Accounting

Possesses extensive knowledge in the theory and practices of accounting, typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance, though equivalent experience would be considered
Technical Skills:
Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information and format and filter data.
Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
