The Exhibits & Sponsorship Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth for AEE’s annual events, both domestic and international, through the sale of sponsorships and exhibit packages. This role involves overseeing the entire sales process, from developing and executing sales strategies to coordinating the expo floor layout, all while maintaining strong relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and service providers. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-driven professional with excellent organizational skills and a proven track record in event sales and management. This position is critical to exceeding budget targets, fostering lasting sponsor relationships, and contributing to the overall success of AEE conferences.
This position is eligible for commission.
Responsibilities
Event Sales
Drive revenue by selling sponsorship and exhibit packages for AEE conferences.
Set annual sales targets for exhibit and sponsorship revenue.
Maintain daily sales activity and pipeline in database.
Develop and nurture relationships with both existing and potential exhibitors and sponsors.
Coordinate with internal departments to create marketing materials and tools to promote sponsorship and exhibit opportunities
Design customized exhibit and sponsorship packages in partnership with clients.
Attend industry conferences, as required, to prospect new sponsors and exhibitors.
Sales Fulfillment
Ensure the fulfillment of all exhibitor and sponsor package requirements.
Collaborate with service company to design booth layout and expo floor.
Partner with Events department staff to ensure the highest level of customer service and support to exhibitors and sponsors.
Leverage relationships to pre-sell sponsorship and exhibit packages for future events.
Program Management
Continuously assess and refine programs and procedures for strategic growth and enhanced sales performance.
Follow-up with exhibitors post event for feedback and to inform future sales strategy
Actively pursue opportunities for professional development in sponsorship sales and event management.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in exhibits, sponsorships, or event management, preferably in a conference or trade show environment.
Proven track record of successful sponsorship and exhibit sales, ideally in a similar industry.
Experience in developing and managing event budgets and achieving sales targets.
Familiarity with working with event service companies, managing floor plans, and coordinating logistics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales management tools to track leads, sales, and communications.
Ability to create and present reports, sales projections, and updates to senior leadership.
Experience working with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and sales tools.
Knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices for sponsor/exhibit sales.
