The Florida Bankers Association is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Membership Engagement Coordinator to enhance member involvement and ensure meaningful peer group experiences. This position will be responsible for managing the association’s peer groups, coordinating program content, and engaging industry experts and speakers to deliver valuable educational opportunities for our members.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and project manager who enjoys building relationships, organizing events, and contributing to a vibrant member community. This role reports to the Director of Education and works closely with association leadership, member banks, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Peer Group Management: Oversee the association’s peer groups, facilitating discussions, organizing meetings (in-person and virtual), and ensuring a high level of member engagement.
Program Coordination: Plan and execute peer group programming, in conjunction with FBA team and participating bankers, including identifying relevant topics, securing expert speakers, and developing agendas.
Speaker and Content Development: Supporting the Education and Events staff at the FBA, research, recruit, and coordinate industry professionals, thought leaders, and subject matter experts to present at association programs and coordinating the FBA’s speakers bureau.
Member Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for peer group participants, maintaining ongoing communication, sharing resources, and gathering feedback to enhance the member experience.
Database Management: Maintain accurate records of peer group participants, attendance, and engagement metrics to support program and membership evaluation and improvement.
Collaboration & Support: Work closely with other association staff to align peer group programming with broader association initiatives and events.
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, association management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in membership engagement, event planning, program coordination, or association membership preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
