NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association is looking for a Senior Education Manager to join our team. As our Senior Education Manager, you will have the opportunity to plan and manage education at NTCA’s conferences, meetings, and online learning platforms. You will work closely with NTCA staff, member-led planning groups and outside vendors on programming content and related management tasks for various meetings and conferences.
What will you do?
Develop the agenda and plan content for the association’s two largest conferences—RTIME and Fall Conference—as well as other specialty meetings in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and various external sources.
Manage an ongoing call for topics process, including solicitation of session ideas; reviewing, evaluating, and routing submissions; and communicating with potential speakers.
Oversee conference speaker management, including contracting, correspondence, housing and travel needs, rehearsal information, and on-site support, to ensure exceptional presentations and attendee experience.
Co-manage administration of sponsored and paid webcasts, including managing schedules, invitations, rehearsals, day-of hosting, sponsorship fulfillment and ensuring the webcast is supported with regards to technology needs.
Coordinate with NTCA committees for specialized conference session development.
Work closely with the Director of Meetings and Education and Sr. Director of Member Services and Engagement in the development of long- and short-range plans, strategic endeavors and budgets related to conferences.
Analyze evaluation data from meetings and membership data to continually assess quality of conference programs and presentation effectiveness to inform future programming efforts.
Ensure conference content is sufficient to satisfy NTCA certificate program needs and any relevant CEUs based on assigned meetings.
The ideal candidate will have the following position requirements:
Understanding and advanced knowledge of conference programs, including development and assessment processes.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; ability to take initiative; demonstrated experience with stand-up presentations; and developed team building and leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate a variety of meetings.
Strong collaboration, negotiation and developed creative thinking and initiative skills.
Understanding and working knowledge of one or more of the following: trade association conference planning, governance roles and responsibilities, broadband industry, and/or rural issues.
Proficiency with various applications such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
Practical knowledge, skills and abilities usually acquired through an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of related work experience.
Experience with AMS and survey tools.
Ability to travel.
