The Marketing Manager at the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) plays a pivotal role in driving the organization's growth and visibility. This mid-level position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote IECA's programs, services, and products. Key responsibilities include leading multichannel membership recruitment campaigns, managing the association’s website, and creating compelling promotional materials.
The Marketing Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive and successful marketing initiatives. As the lead for all promotional efforts, this role requires a dynamic and creative professional with a passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to advancing IECA's mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Campaign Development and Execution:
Develop, deploy, and track multichannel marketing campaigns for membership, events, education, and the Annual Conference.
Manage and execute effective email marketing campaigns, including automated email journeys for onboarding, engagement, and retention.
Monitor engagement of all marketing efforts and suggest/implement improvements when necessary.
Promotional Strategies:
Create and implement promotional strategies to promote the IECA strategic plan (connect, lead, learn, promote), increasing brand awareness and community engagement.
Produce advertising pieces, press releases, and promotional emails to promote IECA, its membership, and events.
Develop and maintain a public relations campaign that highlights members, membership programs, and conferences.
Content Creation and Management:
Optimize images and logos for web deployment.
Develop and produce marketing and promotional materials for events, such as annual conference themes, logos, promotional products, programs, and registration books.
Brand Management:
Ensure the IECA brand standard is maintained across all platforms, including Environmental Connection Magazine, Annual Conference, regional conferences, and associated websites.
Collaboration and Organization:
Participate in the Awards Committee as the marketing liaison.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive marketing initiatives.
Be organized and detail-oriented in all aspects of the role.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or design.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in marketing, PR, communications, and/or design, with at least 2 years in a communications-focused role.
Experience in B2B/B2C inbound/outbound content marketing for an Association/Society setting preferred.
Experience in membership retention and promotion is desired.
Knowledge of non-profit association business, membership benefits, promotions, and chapter relationships preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in graphic design, specifically with Adobe Creative Suite.
Website content management and email marketing experience.
Soft Skills:
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
