The Director of Education plans and manages ACCP educational events, including live, webinar and enduring materials, plus joint partnerships. Support of the Annual Meeting educational events is critical, as is contributing to corporate development around educational programs, grant writing and providing materials for marketing/communications of educational events. Experience using learning management systems and in meeting the accreditation requirements of ACCME and/or ACPE is essential. Must work effectively as a team player.
Responsible for all aspects of the continuing education program at ACCP.
Develops processes that meet accreditation requirements that are efficient for all participants, speakers and ACCP Staff.
Participates in development of all educational activities and ensures compliance with ACCME and ACPE accreditation guidelines.
Analyzes needs assessment data, with input from Staff, Program Committee Chairs and Regents, and develops specific CME and CPE educational activities to meet those needs, in accordance with ACCP’s mission and Strategic Plan.
Works closely with Education Committee and Staff to develop strategies linking needs assessment data to planned activities.
Works closely with Annual Meeting Program Committee to plan and implement exceptional, cutting-edge educational programming, including the use of a sophisticated submission system for proposals and speaker materials.
Works closely with chairs or organizers of planned activities to develop proposals for review by Education Committee.
Facilitates growth of the educational offerings at ACCP, including through the development of partnerships and strategic alliances.
Works closely with the Staff concerning logistics of live activities and distribution of enduring materials.
Implements education strategies, using ACCP resources either solely or in conjunction with private vendors or academic partners.
Develops grant proposals to support educational initiatives of ACCP.
Manages a sophisticated multimedia education platform that maximizes and leverages knowledge of clinical pharmacology.

Education/Experience:
· Undergraduate or graduate degree in relevant discipline.
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing educational activities (both live, enduring materials, journal articles, internet activities and other distance learning initiatives) for health professionals (physicians, pharmacists, and others) and a documented record of achievement in these activities.
· Extensive knowledge in accreditation criteria for CME and/or CPE and the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support.
· Proven track record working effectively in a team that extends beyond the educational component to support the society.
· Experience using learning management and submissions systems.
· Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships.
· Excellent written and verbal communications.
· Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in CommPartners/Cadmium Learning Management Systems and Cadmium Submission Systems highly desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. General AMS and LMS experience required, proficiency in the web-based iMIS database.
