The American Chiropractic Association (ACA), based in Arlington, VA., is the largest professional association in the United States representing doctors of chiropractic. On behalf of its members, ACA lobbies for pro-chiropractic legislation and policies, promotes a positive public image of chiropractic, supports research, provides professional and educational opportunities for doctors of chiropractic, and offers leadership for the advancement of the profession.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Manager of Membership Engagement will assist in the management of ACA membership initiatives with a special emphasis on NextGen, the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) and the Faculty American Chiropractic Association (FACA).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Engagement – Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA)
Serve as the primary liaison between the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) and ACA.
Support all leadership and programmatic committees within SACA including, but not limited to: national executive board, membership, communications, specialty councils and the leadership conference.
Manage all aspects of the SACA Leadership Conference including, but not limited to: registration, speaker communication, hotel reservations and program creation.
Facilitate transitions of leadership among the national board, chapter boards and committee chairs.
Administer all SACA meetings in person and virtually.
Oversee all SACA communications on social media and online discussion forms.
Member Engagement – NextGen
Serve as the primary liaison between the NextGen committee and ACA.
Manage all leadership and programmatic committees within ACA and NextGen including but not limited to: membership, diversity and specialty councils.
Administer all NextGen meetings in person and virtually.
Facilitate transitions of leadership among the national board and committee chairs.
Oversee all NextGen communications on social media and online discussion forms.
Additional Member Engagement Duties
Serve as staff liaison to Faculty ACA (FACA) and other task forces and committees as needed.
Facilitate annual membership-based mentorship program, matching SACA members and NextGen members with established practitioners.
Develop and execute recruitment/retention approaches targeted toward SACA, FACA and NextGen that drive membership growth.
Administer existing and create new programs and resources to increase membership and further engage existing members.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of related membership, committee and/or association experience.
Self-directed, highly professional, with excellent organizational, written and oral communications, analytic and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize a wide range of tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with MS Office and experience with database platforms preferred.
