The American Staffing Association is looking for a dynamic individual to manage print and digital advertising sales for the Supplier Relations team.
This position works with those companies that provide goods and services to the staffing industry (industry suppliers). The manager is responsible for all advertising sales budget goals, both print and digital, as well as providing high level customer service to industry suppliers, associate members, advertisers, corporate partners, sponsors, and exhibitors. The manager serves as central contact for all association advertisers, and as liaison on supplier registrations at ASA events. This position also supports and assists with exhibitor registration, associate membership, and other general industry supplier needs. In addition, the manager oversees and manages the industry supplier prospect database, keeping company information updated.
Principal Duties
Sales and Support
Main point of contact for advertising sales and fulfillment of all print and digital advertising, including
Print: Staffing Success, Staffing World Advance Program and Onsite Program, Staffing Law Conference Resource Book, and Staffing Law digest
Digital: Staffing Today, ASA Marketplace, Staffing World website, and ASA Central, legal advertising vehicles
Responsible for documenting sales process, identifying success strategies, and tracking budget goals
Assists with the development of additional advertising vehicles using existing association collateral and products, or new association initiatives
Delivers superior customer service to advertisers, exhibitors, sponsors, and corporate partners
Drafts correspondence and makes copy updates to marketing, promotion, and supporting documents to produce excellent advertising communication products; ensures that copy complies with ASA style
Organizes department marketing campaigns to support supplier relations sales
Manages development of annual Marketing Prospectus (print and online) and other promotional collateral throughout the year
Manages and maintains the ASA Marketplace webpage; including listings, and advertising.
Fulfillment and Prospecting
Serves as the central point of contact for the data entry, record keeping, billing, scheduling, and transmittal of all advertising materials delivered to clients, printers, designers, and internal staff
Implements mass mailings (postal or digital) including copying materials, assembling mailings, and affixing postage
Manages new Associate Member prospecting and onboarding
Assists with Staffing World sponsor fulfillment, reporting, and event logistics
Assists other team members with communications projects
Responsible for entering and maintaining Associate Member application and information in iMIS (which will transfer to Fonteva/Salesforce in Q2)
Exhibitor Registration
Serves as backup for Staffing World and Staffing Law Conference pre-show exhibitor registrations
Runs exhibitor registration desk on site at Staffing World and Staffing Law Conference (travel required)
Assists in ensuring accurate fulfillment of event badge allocations for exhibitors, sponsors, and corporate partners
Serves as lead liaison to industry suppliers interested in attending events; seeks to convert to exhibit or sponsor events
Minimum of five years experience with print and digital advertising sales and high-level customer service experience. Requires excellent written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines. Should possess confidence to cold call and close sales while building relationships with industry suppliers. Must be detail-oriented, self-directed, and team-oriented, as well as capable of interacting with high-profile corporate executives. Must have excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel; Fonteva/Salesforce experience preferred.
