The Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) seeks its next Membership Specialist to assist with membership recruitment and engagement programs through the implementation of the association’s strategic membership and conference marketing plans. The position reports to the Membership and Communications Director with time divided between membership programs and services, communications and customer service, administrative duties and reporting, and conference preparation. The position will perform administrative tasks including payment entry and membership processing, will maintain member on-boarding and renewal programs, and will provide membership and conference-related customer service by phone and email.

Must have experience with association management systems and related websites as well as Microsoft Office products. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to handle multiple project simultaneously.

While the association maintains an office in Bloomington, IN, this is a remote position. A stipend for internet and telephone access is provided. All staff members attend the annual conference held each April in Chicago and limited additional travel may be necessary which may include weekends and evenings.
